I need scholarship information on Harvard University?
I'm a few years removed from choosing schools, but when I was looking 3-4 years ago, I pretty much ruled out Ivy League schools due to the cost. I'm in the oft-ignored mid-middle class. My folks live pretty well, but I have siblings that will need tuition money soon too.
Most of the Ivies have little to no academic scholarships available. Athletic scholarships are available though and financial aid helps, but isn't enough given the high price tag.
Of all the Ivies I looked at (Princeton, Harvard, Penn, and Columbia), Princeton gives the most financial aid, but still, your going to have to start looking for scholarship money elsewhere. The thing with scholarships (3rd party) is to apply for even the ones that you don't think you have a chance with. Here's a (sort of) related example. I knew someone who entered an essay contest sponsored by the Democrats during the last election cycle. Somehow, he WON and got to help close the Democratic National Convention that year. The thing is, many of us could have written better than him in our sleep, we just didn't think we had a chance.
