What gpa do u have to have to get into harvard university?

Definitely a 4.0, but you have to offer much more then good grades on your transcript (extra curricular activities, sports, leadership... anything that really stands out). They're looking for people with a wide range of talents. Its sad, but its true if your a women you'll have a better chance, and if your ethnographic. Harvard is one of the absolute most prestigious university's to get into... but there are plenty other well respected colleges that aren't as competitive to get admission.

Let me just tell you now: There is no definite formula for getting into college--much less Harvard. But, at the very least, Harvard does not accept much less than perfect. The thing is that most people who apply to Harvard already have perfect stats (perfect GPA, perfect SAT, perfect AP scores, etc.) but it's the outside research, competitions, sports, music, volunteer work, and (for god's sake) businesses that you've opened outside of school. Harvard looks for those who STAND OUT majorly. My friend has a cousin who got a full-ride to Harvard--he was the national piano champion.
Reply:a zillion point O
Reply:4.0. But you must have working experience. Seriously. I have known at least two people whom have gotten perfect scores on their SATs, number one in their school, but they spent so much time studying that they didn't work, which was the common denominator between both of them since they both didn't get accepted. They both played tennis, too. Very well. And piano each.
Reply:It wouldnt be based on just GPA, other things would affect it such as sports, clubs, everything really.
