What percentage do I need to get into Harvard university?
There's no guarantee. People with 4.0's unweighted get rejected from Harvard all the time. Try expanding your horizons a bit. There are thousands of colleges in the US, and many have better programs than Harvard in certain subjects.
Reply:In order to get into Harvard, your cumulative GPA (Freshmen-Senior years) needs to be 4.0 on a 4 pt scale. You also need to be valedictorian of your class and involved in many extra curricular activities. You also need to have taken honors and AP courses. If you don't have these things, you can't get in.
Reply:This last year 1,200 students with PERFECT SAT scores were passed on by HArvard.
Reply:Acceptance into colleges, and especially Harvard isn't just about GPA. It is about a well-rounded student, extracurriculars, volunteer work, actual employment, intracurriculars, etc.

Get as high grades as you can achieve, do your best, and just because Harvard is often seen as the best school in the country doesn't make it the best school for YOU.

Stay focused, have a back up, and good luck!
Reply:if you are not taking any honors or ap classes, I would definitely aim for a 4.0. However, as a junior and senior in high school, you should definitely get into a few honors/AP classes with no less than a B in each class. Also, make sure you do well on the AP exams. Also, make sure you have talents and achievements other than grades. Most people who apply to Harvard are extremely high GPAs, if not perfect ones (or even higher than perfect 4.0s). Make sure to make your application stand out from the crowd. Good luck!
