my cousin just got a letter/email from harvard for an interview. does harvard do this for alot of people or is this something special and good news? people with experience with ivy leagues please answer!

Reply:Great news! It means that his/her application is being considered. It DOESN'T mean that they actually are in yet though, but Only about 1 in 20 applications to Harvard are even considered, so I would consider it great news. Wish them the best of luck at the interview.

Reply:Congrats for your cousin, I think it's normal, it's a top university. But then again, I don't know the american school system. Im from Canada, we just apply and get in.
