What kind of student is Harvard University interested in?

Well, I'm very interested in Harvard University because it is a highly respected school, and for some reason it seems like alot of a genuises go their. Would they accept me for a studious student, who is willing to do whatever it takes?

GO For it!! Anything is possible.
Reply:Judging from a cross-section of their student body, it would appear the answer to the initial question is: A wealthy one.

However, perhaps a better question is: "Why are you so willing to do "whatever it takes?"

What is it they have to offer that you desire so much?

Think it through...You may save yourself a fair amount of money and forehead bruising.
Reply:Harvard is VERY tough to get into. A friend of mine from high school who was class salutatorian, had a 3.925 GPA, got a cumulative score of 32 on the ACT (which is phenomenal -- maximum score is 35), was a member of the National Honor Society, played varsity basketball and baseball, and was involved in several civic organizations was NOT accepted to Harvard. Now, I understand that Harvard's standards have "relaxed" somewhat since my friend applied, but it's still one of the most difficult universities in the country to get into...
