complete the curriculumn requirements to graduate. In 2004, 1500 students were enrolled in Harvard University school sessions. How many students will graduate during 2004?
Is it 1163
338
362
337.5
1154
2. How many students will not graduate?
221/2 percent of all Harvard University students who enroll at the beginning of a school session fail to?
If 22.5% of 1500 students will not graduate:
0.225*1500 = 337.5 students will not graduate.
All of the students left will graduate, which is:
1500 - 337.5 = 1162.5 ~ 1163 students will graduate.
I hope this helps!
Reply:Is it only a one year course? WoW my university course lasted three years (though i am in the UK therefore the systems are different)
Its 1163 will pass 337 will fail (u cant have half a person therefore that one should pass n not fail)
Reply:Percentages mean "per hundred".
22 and a half per hundred won't graduate. That leaves 77 and a half per hundred that will graduate.
There are 15 hundred students, 15 times 77 and a half should be the answer to the question.
However, even midgets count as whole students. Either 1162 or 1163 students will graduate. 1162 is not a possible answer, so select the other one.
The second question is just 1500 minus the first answer. It is asked to give you a chance to see the error you made in the first question, if you didn't read it correctly and answered 337.5 or 338.
Reply:1500 X .225 = 337.5 = 338 = How many students will not graduate
1500 - 338 = 1162
