Do you think that I'll graduate from Harvard University?

I want to be an archeologist. I'm good student and I want people's opinion about my future. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Do you think that I'll graduate from Harvard University?
You can do it. However, you'll have to work on some of your English grammar/writing if you even want to be considered for admission to Harvard....that goes for graduating too.

Good luck!
Reply:You need to be admitted, first. Then, you gotta have the bucks.

I question paying such big bucks to be an archaeologist. I'm not disparaging the job itself, but rarely does an archaeologist earn sizable cash. Is there another school that is more affordable, that is noted for archaeology?

Harvard will set you back over $100,000 for four years. It will take a very long time to pay that back on an archaeologist's salary.
Reply:No sweat! If you can dream it you can do it!
Reply:if you manage your time wisely, sure you can graduate.
Reply:if you're smart. if you got in Harvard in the first place, then you have a GREAT chance of graduating. it's the one school, NOT everyone can get into. so congratulations.[ and keep up the good work]
Reply:Do your best, when you do any task or homework have the innocence of a child, the endurance of a camel and the courage of a lion. Always manage you homework Little at a time with a balance. Check it twice and youll be fine!

What are some of the requirements while attending harvard university?
Um, that depends on which school you attend at Harvard University, what degree you are earning, and what your concentration (Harvard's word for "major") is.

I'll assume you're asking about Harvard College (the undergraduate school) which is just one part of the larger Harvard University, since that's where I graduated from last year.

There are some college-wide requirements:

•You must take 1 year of foreign language (unless you took AP language in high school)

•You must take one semester of expository writing

•And you must take one course each in 7 of the 11 "Core" areas most distantly related to your concentration.

The 11 "Cores" are:

•Moral Reasoning

•Quantitative Reasoning

•History A

•History B

•Language %26amp; Arts A

•Language %26amp; Arts B

•Language %26amp; Arts C

•Social Analysis

•Science A

•Science B

•Foreign Cultures

However, the college is currently in the process of curricular review and the Core system may be abolished and replaced with more standard "distribution requirements" within the next few years.

On top of those college-wide requirements, you will have requirements within your concentration, and these are totally variable.

Some concentrations have lots of flexibility and few requirements, some don't.

One thing in common is: if you want honors, you need to write a senior thesis, and this usually involves taking a series of honors tutorials leading up to your your thesis during your senior year.

Another common departmental requirement is to take at least one small seminar class.

What percentage do I need to get into Harvard university?

in grade 11 %26amp; 12

What percentage do I need to get into Harvard university?
There's no guarantee. People with 4.0's unweighted get rejected from Harvard all the time. Try expanding your horizons a bit. There are thousands of colleges in the US, and many have better programs than Harvard in certain subjects.
Reply:In order to get into Harvard, your cumulative GPA (Freshmen-Senior years) needs to be 4.0 on a 4 pt scale. You also need to be valedictorian of your class and involved in many extra curricular activities. You also need to have taken honors and AP courses. If you don't have these things, you can't get in.
Reply:This last year 1,200 students with PERFECT SAT scores were passed on by HArvard.
Reply:Acceptance into colleges, and especially Harvard isn't just about GPA. It is about a well-rounded student, extracurriculars, volunteer work, actual employment, intracurriculars, etc.

Get as high grades as you can achieve, do your best, and just because Harvard is often seen as the best school in the country doesn't make it the best school for YOU.

Stay focused, have a back up, and good luck!
Reply:if you are not taking any honors or ap classes, I would definitely aim for a 4.0. However, as a junior and senior in high school, you should definitely get into a few honors/AP classes with no less than a B in each class. Also, make sure you do well on the AP exams. Also, make sure you have talents and achievements other than grades. Most people who apply to Harvard are extremely high GPAs, if not perfect ones (or even higher than perfect 4.0s). Make sure to make your application stand out from the crowd. Good luck!

How long does it take to drive from Harvard University to Manhattan Ave, New York?

You mean Manhattan Ave in Brooklyn? or do you just mean Manhattan??

It doesnt really matter because either way it will take you about 4 1/2 hours to drive depending on traffic.

I want to study for my MBA at Harvard University, how can I do it?Cos I don't have the money.Any scholarships?

Simple, get accepted first. That would be the hardest part. Once you get in, there are numerous grants, scholarships, and loans you can use to pay for college. Sometimes the university will lower the tuition you have to pay also! Private institutions bend over backwards to help you pay for college since they really like diversity. It is just a matter of taking the time to get it done!

Start the process, get admitted!!!

What african american earned a Ph.D from Harvard University then set out to make everyone aware of the history

Carter G. Woodson, Father of Black History

In the early days of this century, virtually single-handedly, Carter G. Woodson created a vision of celebrating black history through annual events and a prestigious journal. This article traces the life and career of this pioneering educator.

One of the most inspiring and instructive stories in black history is the story of how Carter G. Woodson, the father of black history, saved himself for the history he saved and transformed.

The skeletal facts of his personal struggle for light and of his rise from the coal mines of West Virginia to the summit of academic achievement are eloquent in and of themselves and can be briefly stated.

At 17, the young man who was called by history to reveal black history was an untutored coal miner. At 19, after teaching himself the fundamentals of English and arithmetic, he entered high (secondary) school and mastered the four-year curriculum in less than two years.

At 22, after two-thirds of a year at Berea College in West Virginia, he returned to the coal mines and studied Latin and Greek between trips to the mine shafts. He then went on to the University of Chicago, where he received bachelor's and master's degrees, and Harvard University, where he became the second black to receive a doctorate in history.
